Exclusive to BY FOUTAS, the Fouta mariniere is hand woven in 100% recycled cotton ♻. Its weaving gives it a unique style and an extreme softness. Its marine stripes are a real invitation to travel.
Fouta of beach or bath, use it in towel or pareo for the shower, for your baths, to tan on the hot sand, in the spa or in the hammam.
Its large size of 100 x 200 cm allows you to use the Fouta mariniere as a guest towel, while taking up less space than a conventional towel.
Originating from Ksar Hellal in Tunisia, the Fouta mariniere was woven with 100% recycled cotton yarns from the surplus of major brands of ready-to-wear clothing.
The fouta is woven in an artisanal workshop, fruit of an ancestral know-how . In a responsible and committed production approach, the fouta braids are hand-knotted by craftswomen wishing to bring an additional income to their household.
The fouta is shipped in a compostable envelope. Its packaging is recycled and recyclable.

How to maintain your fouta ?
Wash your fouta once at 30° before the first use. It does not fade, so you can mix it with your household linen.
Wash at 30° and let it dry in the open air. This will preserve the fringes craftsmanship.
Your fouta will become softer and more absorbent with each wash.
An embroidered fouta can be maintained in the same way as a fouta without embroidery.
